  • Bocejar de + the reason: Eu estava bocejando de sono. (I was yawning because I was sleepy.) Eles bocejavam de tédio. (They were yawning from boredom.)
  • O bocejo is the noun, "a yawn": Ele deu um bocejo enorme. (He gave a huge yawn.)
  • The j sounds like "zh" (as in measure): bocejar sounds like "boh-seh-ZHAR".
