Good to know
- Watching over: vigiar is to keep an eye on something so nothing goes wrong: kids, bags, a house, a pot on the stove. To watch TV or a movie, use assistir.
- O vigia is the night watchman, the same word as the verb form: O vigia vigia o prédio. (The watchman watches the building.)
- Stress: the present forms are stressed on the gi: eu vigio, ele vigia, eles vigiam.
