  • Spelling change: the c becomes qu before e: eu saquei, saque, saquem. The noun is saque (withdrawal).
  • Where you do it: sacar dinheiro no caixa eletrônico (to withdraw money at the ATM). The opposite is depositar.
  • Slang: sacar also means to get or understand something: Sacou? (Got it?) Saquei! (Got it!)
  • In sports, sacar is to serve in volleyball or tennis: Ela saca muito bem. (She serves very well.)
