Good to know

  • Resistir a: the preposition a joins the article: resistir à tentação (to resist temptation), resistir ao frio (to withstand the cold).
  • Não resisti! means "I couldn't help it": Vi o chocolate e não resisti. (I saw the chocolate and couldn't resist.)
