Good to know

  • Spelling change: the g becomes gu before e, to keep the hard "g" sound: eu carreguei, que ele carregue.
  • Charging: Preciso carregar o celular. (I need to charge my phone.) The charger is o carregador.
  • Loading: it is also what a page or a video does: A página não carrega. (The page won't load.)
  • Carregar or levar? Carregar is about holding the weight; levar is about taking something to a place: Eu levo o bolo para a festa. (I'll take the cake to the party.)
