Good to know
- Viver vs morar: to say where you live, Brazilians use morar: Eu moro em Recife. (I live in Recife.) Viver is about life itself, how you live and for how long: Ele vive para o trabalho. (He lives for his work.)
- Viver + gerund or adjective means "to be always…": Ele vive reclamando. (He's always complaining.) / Ela vive cansada. (She's always tired.)
- Viva! is also a cheer, like "Hooray!" or "Long live…!": Viva o Brasil! (Hooray for Brazil!)
