Good to know

  • Photos: revelar is also the verb for developing or printing photos: Vou revelar as fotos da viagem. (I'm going to get the photos from the trip printed.)
  • Chá revelação is the Brazilian name for a gender reveal party: chá revelação.
  • Revelar-se means "to turn out to be": Ele se revelou um ótimo cozinheiro. (He turned out to be a great cook.)
  • In everyday talk, people usually say contar um segredo rather than revelar: Não conta para ninguém! (Don't tell anyone!)
