  • Comunicar-se com is "to communicate with": Eu me comunico bem em português. (I communicate well in Portuguese.)
  • Comunicar algo a alguém is formal: it is for official news and reports. In everyday talk, use avisar or contar: Vou avisar o chefe. (I'm going to let the boss know.)
  • Um comunicado is an official notice or statement: A escola mandou um comunicado. (The school sent a notice.)
