Good to know
- Me avisa! is the everyday way to say "Let me know!": Me avisa quando você chegar. (Let me know when you arrive.)
- How to build it: avisar alguém de or sobre something, or avisar que: Ela me avisou do atraso. (She let me know about the delay.) Ele avisou que não vem. (He said he's not coming.)
- Eu te avisei! means "I warned you!" or "I told you so!": Eu te avisei!
- A false friend: avisar is not "to advise". "To advise" is aconselhar. The noun aviso means "notice" or "warning".
