Good to know
- Vir, not ver: the future subjunctive of ver is vir, spelled just like the verb vir (to come): Se você vir o Pedro, fala que eu liguei. (If you see Pedro, tell him I called.) In casual speech, many Brazilians say se você ver, but vir is the correct form.
- Ver or assistir? For TV, movies and games, you can use ver or assistir: Vamos ver um filme? (Shall we watch a movie?) Você assistiu ao jogo? (Did you watch the game?)
- Nada a ver means "that has nothing to do with it" or "that makes no sense": Isso não tem nada a ver. (That has nothing to do with it.) On its own, Nada a ver! means "No way!" or "Nonsense!"
