Good to know

  • Uma reserva is a booking, and fazer uma reserva means the same as reservar: Eu tenho uma reserva no nome de Ana. (I have a reservation under the name Ana.)
  • Reservar or marcar? You reserva a table, a room or a ticket, but you marca an appointment: marcar uma consulta (to make a doctor's appointment).
  • Reservar um tempo means to set time aside: Reservei a tarde para estudar. (I set the afternoon aside to study.)
